Over the last several years, a hybrid approach combining Waterfall and Scrum is being used. Water Scrum Fall, as it is frequently call, was early on described in a a Forrester papber by David West, Mike Gilpin, Tom Grant and Alissa Anderson. It is available at the following URL:
